University of Kentucky Kroger Field

In 2015, CWC was awarded the waterproofing package at the Kroger Field modernization project. The main portion of the project included building new press boxes and VIP boxes. These boxes were installed directly on top of the existing lower bowl structure which required additional structural reinforcement. CWC was chosen to install carbon fiber wrap below 8 stems running the entire length of the East side of the stadium. Once completed, the wrap was coated with a fire proof coating to match existing conditions.

Also included in this contract was re-coating the entire South side upper bowl (70,000 SF). CWC worked alongside dozens of contractors to schedule the work around other trades. A new precast seating area was installed and CWC applied all new waterproofing elements that would protect not only the VIP seating but also the roofing above the newly built lounge area. Included with this work was 4,000 LF of double stacked joint sealants, tread and riser pre-engineered and fabricated Emseal foam expansion joints, and new pedestrian coating on 25,000 SF.
